Jakarta – Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristekdikti) Mohamad Nasir was the Chief of Guest during the Netherlands’ King’s Day reception. Dutch Ambassador for Indonesia, Rob Swartbol, warmly welcomed Menristekdikti in the Raffles Hotel ballroom, Jakarta (28/4).
During the King’s Day reception, Menristekdikti gave his remarks on the improvement of bilateral relations between Indonesia and the Netherlands in various sector. Nasir emphasized President Joko Widodo’s visit to the Netherlands last week, was not only the President of Indonesia’s first visit to the Netherlands in 16 years, but also suggest the strong commitment by Indonesia to continue to develop close bilateral relations and stronger collaboration in broader sectors. This is shown by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Higher Education and Science during the President’s visit.
Menristekdikti wishes the MoU will be implemented soon enough for a comprehensive collaboration between both countries. He is convinced that for a better future, the comprehensive partnership between Indonesia and the Netherlands will continue to grow, bilaterally, regionally and globally. (dts)
