Serpong – “Let’s work, Be Innovative and Competitive,” cried Minister M. Nasir to every beings involved on Higher Education in Indonesia to commemorate the 2016 National Education Day.

The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemristekdikti) commemorate the 2016 National Education Day which was being held at the Center for Science and Technology (Puspiptek) Serpong, Tangerang Selaatan (02/05).

In his opening remarks, Menristekdikti stressed the importance of reformation in higher education, which is align with this year’s National Education Day theme.

“How can our graduates have the competencies needed to work in the 21st century while our education management is dated like the 19th century?” stressed Minister Nasir.

Furthermore Menristekdikti suggested that there are many to be worked on to reform higher education in terms of access to services, quality, and competency.

The reformation process of higher education could not be done by the Government alone, we all have to participate and contribute significantly in order to achieve an innovative and competitive higher education.

“Hopefully our efforts are useful to improve the quality of higher education in this country,” Minister Nasir wishes. (dts)
