The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (RISTEKDIKTI) is celebrating a week of the commemoration of The 20th HAKTEKNAS (3-10 August 2015). The HAKTEKNAS is the National Technology Awakening Day, which is commemorated every 10th of August based on Presidential Decree No. 71/1995 (Keputusan Presiden Nomor 71 Tahun 1995) in order to appreciate the achievements of Indonesian scientists in developing and utilizing science and technology, also to encourage them to continuously awaken the power of innovation and creation for Indonesia prosperity and civilization.
In the series of HAKTEKNAS event, The Ministry invited the President of Pardis Technology Park, Mr. Mahdi Safarinia as one of the speakers in The Seminar of National Industry Awakening Based on The Nations Science and Technology Competence (3/8/15) at BPPT II Building Auditorium. Mr. Mahdi came along with his two companions, Mr. Aminreza Khaleghian, the Director General for International Affairs; and Mr. Seyed Ahmadreza Alaei Tabatabaei, Director General for Technology Exchange Office. On the first day seminar, Mr. Mahdi gave a brief explanation of Science and Technopark Development based on Iranian experience, in this case, Pardis Technology Park (PTP). He mentioned that PTP were built to encourage and support hi-tech companies to increase their ability in order to compete in the international world market. In order to develop 100 Science Techno Park (STP) until 2019, Indonesia wants to collaborate and gain some experiences from Iranian expertise.
The second day of their visit to Indonesia, Mr. Mahdi and his companions had a meeting with Director for Science & Technology Park (STP) RISTEKDIKTI, Dr. Ir. Lukito H. Pratopo, M.Sc and the colleagues from the Association of Science Technology Park Indonesia (ASTPI) at the BPPT 2 Building (4/8/15). The meeting was attended by Mr. Lukito itself, Mr. Wisnu S. Sunarso as the President of ASTPI, Mr. Gopa Kusworo as the Secretary General of ASTPI, Mr. Dadan Nugraha as the Head of Public Communication of ASTPI and Mr. Kemal Prihatman, the Director for R&D Institution. Dr. Lukito described that STP in Indonesia is managed by public sector. Mr. Aminreza replied that most of the PTP is managed by private sector and only few numbers are managed by public sector, so the output of PTP is more pronounced and it contributed more to the country. Indonesia should learn their strategy and model in commercialization of the research.
On the third day, the Iranian delegation eventually had an opportunity to pay a courtesy call to HE Minister Mohamad Nasir at the Indonesian Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD. The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, HE Mr. Valiollah Mohammadi came along with HE Mr. Ali Maktabi Fard attended the courtesy call. Minister Nasir was very pleased for having the Ambassador together with his companions in the series of HAKTEKNAS activities. There were also Mrs. Nada Marsudi, the Head of Cooperation and Public Communication RISTEKDIKTI, Mrs. Tri Sundari, Mr. Munawir Razak and Ms. Windie Serepinan Nababan witnessed the courtesy call. The Iranian delegation also had the opportunity to visit the innovation exhibition that was held at ICE along with the Minister afterwards.
Last, the Iranian delegation visited The Center of S&T Research (Puspiptek) at Serpong. They had a short meeting with the Chairman of Puspiptek, Mrs. Ir. Sri Setiawati, MA whom was accompanied by Mr. Dadan Nugraha and Mr. Ifuk Permana. During this meeting, both parties shared their STP profiles and their common interests in developing the future collaboration on STP. Hopefully in the future Indonesia could organize a reciprocal visit to Iran and Pardis Technology Park in order to enhance knowledge and experience to the realization of 100 Science Techno Park (STP) in 2019.
